| The City of New Castle Police Department, Lawrence County
continues their investigation into the December 3, 1999, Homicide of Yvonne
Richards. On December 3, 1999, at approximately 10:00 a.m., the body of Yvonne Richards was discovered on the property of the Union Baptist Church located at 251 West Grant Street in New Castle. Her partially clothed body was found lying face down behind the church marquee, as to hit from passersby. The last time she was seen alive was 12:30 a.m., that morning. She was viewed on videotape as she left alone from her boyfriend's apartment in the downtown New Castle area, and according to her boyfriend, she was walking home. Her body was later found about three blocks from her residence. Investigators state the cause of her death was ruled as manual strangulation and blunt trauma to the head; a motive remains unknown. Yvonne Richard's last known address was in the 300 block of Halco Drive in New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania. What You Can Do:
