 PENNSYLVANIA CRIME STOPPERS IS OFFERING A CASH REWARD OF UP TO $2,000.00 THAT LEADS TO THE ARREST OF A YET UNKNOWN SUSPECT.

State Police at Troop C, Punxsutawney are investigating several instances where outside home improvements were said to have been completed. The crimes occurred between December 3 through December 22, 2004 in the Townships of Union, Rose, and Oliver in Jefferson County, PA. All of the victims were elderly.

In all instances, each victim was told that work had been completed on the exterior of their homes which consisted of sealing roofs, replacing shingles, and repair to lightening rod systems. All requests for payment by the victims were by personal check, made payable to Robert Nash. In one case, the man gave his name as Robert Welsch, but specifically requested the check be made payable to Robert Nash. All checks were cashed within hours after payment was made.
