 PENNSYLVANIA CRIME STOPPERS IS OFFERING A CASH REWARD OF UP TO $2,000.00 THAT LEADS TO THE ARREST OF YET UNKNOWN ARSON SUSPECT(S).

The Pennsylvania State Police Indiana is investigating multiple Arsons that have occurred in the eastern part of Indiana County and now moving into the western part of neighboring Cambria County. Suspect(s) are targeting vacant and abandoned structures and vehicles. Since June 2004, 14 Arsons have occurred with 11 being in Indiana County and 3 being in Cambria County. Some of the fires have been back to back with one occurring in Indiana County and a short time later another occurring in Cambria County.

Most of the below listed Arsons are most likely related to serial arsons. A few of them may not be related. As of the date of this release, it is unknown. The fire started out on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings and morning and have since moved to Thursday and Friday mornings.

They are as follows:
1) 06/11/04, 1630 hrs., Vacant House Arson-Village of Arcadia Montgomery Twp., Indiana County;
2) 06/12/04, 0030 hrs., Dump Truck Arson-Cherry Hill Twp., Indiana County;
3) 07/17/04, 0030hrs., Vehicle Arson-Marion Center Boro, Indiana County;
4) 07/23/04, 2230 hrs., Vehicle Arson-Brush Valley Twp., Indiana County;
5) 07/23/04, 2230 hrs., Vacant House Arson-Brush Valley Twp., Indiana County; 6) 07/24/04, 0237 hrs., Abandoned Motel Arson-Village of Strongstown Pine Twp., Indiana County;
7) 07/25/04, 0230 hrs., Vacant Mobile Home Arson-Buffington Twp., Indiana County;
8) 07/31/04, 0230 hrs., Vacant Barn Arson-Cherryhill Twp., Indiana County;
9) 08/09/04, 0200 hrs., Vacant House Arson-Burrell Twp., Indiana County;
10) 08/12/04, 2300 hrs., Vacant House Arson-Barr Twp., Cambria County;
11) 08/20/04, 0323 hrs., Vacant Shed Arson-East Carroll Twp., Cambria County; 12) 08/20/04, 0500 hrs., Vacant Mobile Home Arson-Pine Twp., Indiana County; 13) 08/26/04, 0230 hrs., Vacant House Arson-Village of Strongstown Pine Twp., Indiana County; 14) 08/26/04, 0512 hrs., Clearfield Twp., Cambria County.

Authorities have very few leads at this point, and are urging anyone with any information to come forward.
