The Pennsylvania State Police at Pittsburgh
continue the investigation into the May 12, 2004 discovery of skeletal
human remains. These remains were found in a marsh on Whippoorwill Road and Route 22, which is main east/west roadway in Hanover Township, Washington County. The location is in the northern section of Washington County and immediately south of Beaver County. The remains were located very close to the West Virginia state line. A forensic anthropologist examined the remains and determined that they were that of a Black female with a medium build. Her approximate age was from the mid 20’s to mid 30’s and her height was estimated at 5’8”. The doctor also believes that the remains had been at the location at least a year and possibly much longer. The composite drawing is a rendering of what her face may have looked like, based on her skull. State Police are encouraging anyone with information to contact PA Crime Stoppers where all callers remain anonymous. What You Can Do:
