The Pennsylvania State Police at Lancaster are investigating
2-Arsons that occurred in the month of April 2004, along with a third Arson
which occurred in May 2004.
The first fire on was on April 25, 2004 at 5:30 a.m. Two reported buildings
fires were dispatched for 535 and 623 Maple Street in Columbia Borough,
Lancaster County. The 535 Maple Street address was a detached 2-vehicle
garage and 623 Maple Street was a 10-foot by 12-foot shed. Investigation
into these fires revealed them to be Arson. Approximately $61,000 in total
damage occurred as a result of these 2-fires.
On June 5, 2004 at 3:43 a.m., a detached 2-story garage was discovered
burning to the rear of 628 Chestnut Street, also in Columbia borough. The
investigation into this fire was also determined to be Arson. Approximately
$20,000 in total damage occurred for this fire.
All 3-investigations continue by the State Police Fire Marshal at Lancaster.
