The Pennsylvania Sate Police at Phillipsburg in
Centre County, continue the investigation into a Bank Robbery that occurred
on January 23, 2004. Investigators reported that on that Friday, an African American male/female entered the bank. Once inside, the suspect passed a note to a teller, which in part stated, “I am listing to a portable scanner, cooperate and be safe”. The teller cooperated, placing the money from the drawer onto the counter; the suspect put the money into a black purse and fled the bank. The accused may have fled the area operating what was described as a late model boxy-type vehicle, possibly a Volkswagen Jetta, gray in color. On that same day, at approximately 11:00 a.m., Tellers from the Clearfield Bank and Trust office in the Curwinslle area reported they may have seen the suspect on foot in their locale .
