The Pennsylvania State Police at Carlisle are
investigating a series of Burglaries; all of which had the same method of
operation (MO). The Burglaries occurred in the Newville and Shippensburg
areas of Cumberland County. One of the burglaries occurred during the overnight hours on or about June 14-15, 2003, in the 300 block of Opossum Lake Road in Lower Frankford Township, Cumberland County. The unknown person(s) forcibly entered the residence. They stole sole some 20-rifles, shotguns, handguns, US currency, hunting accessories and jewelry. Investigators estimate the victim’s loss to be in excess of $7,500. It appeared that the suspect(s) were mostly interested in guns during these burglaries.
