The Camp Hill Borough Police
Department in Cumberland County Pennsylvania continues their investigation
into a case of Indecent Exposure and Indecent Assault that occurred along
Pennsylvania Avenue on Wednesday, May 14, 2003.
Investigators reported that at
approximately 5:00 p.m., an unknown White male was standing in the common
entrance of a four unit apartment building along Pennsylvania Avenue in
Camp Hill Borough. He called out to a six year old female who was riding
her bike at the time. The suspect asked her to help him in the basement
area of the apartment building. The child accompanied the subject into
the basement area at which time he exposed himself and touched her in an
inappropriate way. She began to cry and ran from the basement area; she
continued to run to her home and reported the incident to her mother who
contacted the police.
The victim sustained no injuries.
Although the 6-year old provided limited information as to the description
of the suspect, investigators believe identification is possible. Dauphin
County authorities are investigating two similar incidents that occurred
in May of 2003. They were able to develop a composite drawing which may
resemble the suspect being sought in connection with this incident.
