Unknown on the make or model. Pennsylvania State Police Washington continue their investigation into a Home Invasion Robbery / Homicide that occurred on January 29, 2003 between 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. at 613 Venetia Road, Peters Twp., Washington County, PA - the residence of Freda and Shannon Dale. Shannon Dale an 89 year old male was outside his residence clearing his driveway of snow when the above suspect vehicle pulled into the driveway and parked. Freda Dale, his wife, was inside the residence. Suspect #1 exited the truck, put on an orange type utility vest and approached Shannon Dale on foot. Suspect #1 engaged Shannon Dale in conversation in an effort to distract him and posed himself as a Gas Company employee seeking information concerning the layout of the victim's property. Suspect #1 was able to con his way into the victim's house by asking to see where the gas line entered the home. Once inside, Shannon Dale then discovered that suspects 2, 3, and 4 had surreptitiously entered the home through another entrance, and were already in the course of accosting Freda Dale, his 89-year-old wife. Suspects then bound, gagged and forced both victims to the floor. The four suspects then proceeded to ransack the residence in search of cash money. Shannon Dale was severely assaulted and tortured by the actors seeking the location of the victim's money. Freda Dale (Wife) died at the scene as a result of a heart attack caused by the trauma incurred from the attack. Shannon Dale was hospitalized as a result of the severe injuries he received.
