The Pennsylvania State Police at Punxsutawney
continue their investigation into a Rape that occurred on November 4, 2002. Investigators reported that at approximately 11:10 p.m., a woman who was driving to work noticed a vehicle sitting along the East side of SR-28 facing south. The vehicle had its lights on and she noted that the left side headlight was not working. She decided to stop and offer assistance in any possible way. She asked the suspect if he needed any help; he asked her if she had a tire jack. She proceeded to the rear of her vehicle and opened the hatch. While looking in the back of vehicle, the suspect pushed her from behind. The suspect then struck the victim and proceeded to sexually assault her. The victim described her assailant as a White male, between 35-40 years of age, who stood between 5'9"-5'11". He had a medium build with short dark hair and a mustache. The suspect fled the scene traveling south on SR 28 in an older style (late 70's or early 80's), silver or light gray in color car, which could possibly be a Pontiac Grand Am. What You Can Do:
