 PENNSYLVANIA CRIME STOPPERS IS OFFERING A CASH REWARD OF UP TO $2,000.00 THAT LEADS TO THE APPREHENSION AND ARREST OF UKNOWN SUSPECT(S) INVOLVED IN SHOOTING OF A ERIE CITY POLICE OFFICER.
Erie Police are seeking information concerning the shooting of an on duty Officer that occurred on December 15, 2002 within the City of Erie, Pennsylvania.

On December 15, 2002 at approximately 1:40 a.m. Patrolman William Marucci was dispatched with other uniformed police officers to a licensed liquor establishment within the City of Erie for a disturbance.

While in the public parking lot of this establishment one shot was made by an unknown assailant from a possible .22 caliber rifle with a scope at a distance of approximately 50 yards. During the firing of this weapon the bullet grazed a bystander and struck Patrolman Marucci's left forearm.

Erie Police are urging anyone with any information to contact Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers, all callers remain anonymous.
