The Pennsylvania State Police at York continue to investigate the September 7, 2002, Bank Robbery at Drover’s Bank located at 611 Shrewsbury Commons in Shrewsbury Township, York County. Investigators reported that on that Saturday morning at approximated 7:40 a.m., a female teller arrived to begin her morning shift. She was preparing her bank drawers when the suspect forcibly entered the set of locked double doors by prying the lock with a crowbar. The suspect climbed over the counter and removed a substantial amount of money from the teller’s drawers and coin vault and placed the money in a bag. He fled the scene through the same set of double doors. He was last seen wearing a white dress shirt, a dark purple tie with a paisley print, dark pants and green suede sneakers. He wore a nylon stocking over his head and face, with blue latex gloves on his hands. A second witness who was in the area that morning saw a White male sitting in a vehicle parked near the Drover’s Bank prior to the Robbery. The male matched the physical description provided by the teller. The vehicle was described as a newer model aquamarine compact sedan with a body style similar to that of a Chevrolet Nova.
