 PENNSYLVANIA CRIME STOPPERS IS OFFERING A CASH REWARD OF UP TO $2,000.00 THAT LEADS TO THE ARREST OF A YET UNIDENTIFIED BANK ROBBERY SUSPECT.
The Kittanning Borough Police Department and the Pennsylvania State Police continue to investigate two Bank Robberies in Armstrong County, which appear to be related.

Investigators state that on March 15, 2002, at 2:38 P.M., the Elderton State Bank in Kittanning Borough, Armstrong County was robbed. The suspect was described as a White male in his twenties, approximately 5’10”-5’11” tall, weighing approximately 175-185 lbs. He had straight dark colored hair with a receding hairline. He was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt with a zipper in the front, a white tee shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. At the time of the Robbery he was also wearing dark lens glasses with silver frames. Upon entering the bank the suspect brandished what appeared to be a hand grenade, silver in color with a smooth, possibly painted surface.

On March 25, 2002 at 1:53 P.M., an unknown suspect, again brandishing what appeared to be a silver hand grenade, robbed the Farmer’s National Bank, which is also located in Kittanning Borough. This subject was described as a White male with dark hair, a medium build wearing a ball cap and blue jeans.

Investigators are encouraging anyone with information to contact Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers. All callers remain anonymous and you could earn up $2,000 if your information leads to an arrest.
