The Pennsylvania State Police at Butler
continue to investigate the July 17, 2002, discovery of two deceased
15-year old boys in Forward Township, Butler County. On July 17, 2002, at approximately 1:50 a.m., the bodies of Shaun Thomas Baur a 15-year old White male and Scott Fosnaught, also a 15-year old White male were discovered dead and laying along a roadway; a passing motorist discovered their bodies. They had left the residence of a friend together at approximately 1:30 a.m. and were walking towards the Baur residence. The injuries to Scott Fosnaught are consistent with being struck and/or run over by a motor vehicle that fled the scene after impact. The injuries sustained to Shaun Baur are currently being evaluated and at this time can be interpreted in several ways. The boys both resided along Watters Station Road in Evans City, Butler County. The State Police are actively seeking the vehicle and/or the individual(s) involved in this incident. They are encouraging anyone with information to contact Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers.
