The Pennsylvania State Police at Fern Ridge
continues their investigation into the November 2001 Homicide of Benjamin
Joseph Amato. Investigators reported that during the commission of a residential Burglary on Sundance Drive in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, an unknown person(s) encountered the victim. Benjamin Amato was struck several times with a blunt object and suffered fatal injuries to his head; he died at the scene. Amato's last seen whereabouts was at the CVS Pharmacy in Brodheadsville, Chestnuthill Township on November 12, 2001, shortly after 8:00 P.M. He operated a 1999 red Ford F-250 with overhead fire-police emergency lights. State Police are encouraging anyone with information to contact Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers. What You Can Do:
