The Pennsylvania State Police at York continue their investigation into the October 17, 2001 Robbery at Mellon Bank in Shrewsbury Township, York County. Investigators stated that at approximately 10:55 A.M., the suspect entered the bank located in the Shrewsbury Commons Shopping Center and approached the bank teller. The suspect leaned over the counter and demanded the teller to give him money. At this point, the teller provided the suspect with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then demanded more money, and brandished a semi-automatic handgun. The teller complied with the demand and the suspect fled the bank. At the time of the Robbery, the suspect was carrying a black bag and was wearing a tan colored ball cap, sunglasses, dark black or blue coat and blue cargo pants. What You Can Do:
