The Pennsylvania State Police at Beaver
continue to investigate 2-Homicides and 2-Attempted Homicides, which are
believed by investigators to be related and involve many of the same
individuals as potential witnesses and possible suspects. The incidents
are believed related to drug trafficking and retaliation. The incidents
are believed related to other shootings and Homicides, which have occurred
in Alliquippa over the last eighteen months, including the Homicide of
Alliquippa Police Officer James Naim. Victim STEALS- Marvin Steals was last seen at the Champagne Lounge, Franklin Avenue in Alliquippa during the early morning hours of January 29, 2001. His body was discovered along Temple Road, Beaver County; Steals had been shot. Victim McKNIGHT - Jada McKnight returned to her home in New Castle at approximately 8:00 P.M. on April 9, 2001. McKnight was in the company of her husband and three small children. The car was parked in her driveway. As she exited the vehicle, unknown persons opened fire on the car. Mcknight was shot and died at the scene; her husband and children were not injured. Victim LOCKETT - Shortly before 11:00 P.M., on December 24, 2000, Dawan Lockett was walking on Davis Street, in Aliquippa. Two gunmen were standing in an alley of Davis Street. As Lockett approached their location, they opened fire. The gunmen fled in a red sporty looking car; Lockett survived his injuries. Victim SHEGOG - On February 28, 2001, shortly before 1:00 A.M., Jamar Shegog was working behind the bar at the Champagne Lounge on Franklin Avenue in Aliquippa. Approximately 100-patrons were in the bar at the time of the incident. A lone gunman entered the front door and immediately opened fire on Shegog. The gunman walked behind the bar and continued to fire at Shegog. The gunman fled the bar on foot; Shegog survived his injuries. What You Can Do:
