The Oil City Police Department in Venango County Pennsylvania and the Federal Bureau of Investigation continues their investigation into the June 22, 2001, Robbery of the Northwest Savings Bank. Investigators reported that on June 22, 2001, at approximately 7:20 P.M., the suspect entered the Bank in Oil City and brandished a handgun. The suspect then demanded money from the teller; he was given an undetermined amount of cash. A device was left behind, which the suspect indicated was a bomb, he then fled the bank in an unknown direction. The Erie Bomb Squad assisted in safely removing the device from the bank without incident. What You Can Do:
