 PENNSYLVANIA CRIME STOPPERS IS OFFERING A CASH REWARD OF UP TO $2,000.00 THAT LEADS TO THE ARREST OF A YET UNIDENTIFIED PERSON OR PERSONS RESPONSIBLE FOR PLACING A SOPHISTICATED PIPE BOMB IN A VEHICLE.

The Pennsylvania State Police, Brookhaven Police Department, Delaware County Detectives and The Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms continue their investigation into an incident involving an explosive device.

The incident occurred on Sunday, February 2, 2001, in the 3400 block of Washington Avenue in Brookhaven Borough. Investigators reported that sometime between January 31, 2001 and February 4, 2001, an unknown person or persons had placed a pipe bomb inside of a vehicle. The owner discovered the sophisticated device and while attempting to move it, the device exploded nearly injuring him.

It is unknown if this device is connected in anyway with the Chester County pipe bomb and hoax incidents.
