The Pennsylvania State Police at York, continue
their investigation into an Arson that occurred at the Shrewsbury Commons
Shopping Center in Shrewsbury Township, York County Pennsylvania. On October 31, 2000, between the hours of 1:00-1:25 a.m., an unknown person or persons arrived at the Shrewsbury Commons Shopping Center and proceeded to the rear of the building. The complex is a "strip-mall" type structure and the fires were set at separate locations. The locations, which are located in the northern end of the mall, included the rear of Pier 1 Imports, Dollar Tree and Mellon Bank. The fires caused approximately $10,000 in damages and interrupted electrical service to several of the stores, which resulted in a substantial loss of business.
