PENNSYLVANIA CRIME STOPPERS IS OFFERING A CASH REWARD OF UP TO $1,000.00 FOR INFORMATION THAT LEADS TO THE ARREST OF A YET UNIDENTIFIED HOMICIDE SUSPECT OR SUSPECTS. 

The Pennsylvania State Police, New Castle, continue their investigation into the Homicide of Joyce Ann Heskett-Washington. On August 12, 1989, her body was found in a strip-mine area just east of Hillsville Borough, Mahoning Township, Lawrence County. Three teenage boys who had gone to the quarry to go swimming found the body, which was in advanced state of decomposition in an area that was overgrown with weeds.

Fingerprints identified her as Joyce Ann Heskett-Washington; a 31-Years old White female who, investigators state had been a prostitute from the Youngstown, Ohio area. She had been married to her pimp who was incarcerated in the State of Ohio at the time of her murder.

An autopsy revealed the cause of death had been strangulation, with blunt force trauma to the right side of her head.

State Police are hoping that additional leads will bring the person or persons responsible for this crime to justice. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers.
