 Pennsylvania State Police Apprehend Escaped Inmate.

On August 19 1999 at approximately 11 pm, a car that was believed to be stolen by Johnston was spotted by Pennsylvania State Police Avondale Patrol Unit. At that time they began a pursuit. Shortly thereafter Johnston crashed the car and patrol members were able to confirm that it was Johnston behind the wheel. The Pennsylvania State Police assigned personnel to the area and began searching. The Pennsylvania State Police also used the helicopter in the area. Johnston was spotted by the a PSP ground patrol and was apprehended without incident.

He had been convicted on three counts of Criminal Homicide, Criminal Conspiracy, Aggravated Assault and Firearms Violation charges. Johnson is known to use multiple aliases, some of which include, Norman More, David Kurt Johnson, David Johnson, Norman Lee Johnson and Norman Johnson. Johnston's last known address was in the 100 block of Old Kennett Road, Kennett Square, Chester County, PA.
