The Lackawanna County Sheriffs Department and the Office of the  District Attorney, in conjunction with the Pennsylvania State Police, are seeking the whereabouts of William Cerra.

On January 31, 1995, Cerra was arrested for the sexual assault of a 14 year old girl from the city of Scranton. He was a taxi cab driver at the time of the incident and the victim was a passenger in his cab. Suspect was again arrested in a separate and unrelated rate case, when he attempted to bribe the victim not to testify against an associate of his, who was charged with rape. He was declared a fugitive from justice when failed to appear for trial on both cases.

Investigators have discovered that suspect has an extensive criminal background in crimes of violence, he should be considered extremely dangerous

Suspect usually works as a taxi cab driver which gives him ample opportunity to meet potential victims in his passengers.
