The Nassau County Police Department, New York State, and Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers are asking for the public's help in locating Matthew Williams. Williams allegedly had possession of a forged bank check in Hicksville, New York.

On Friday, January 29, 1999, Matthew Williams allegedly entered the Circuit City in Hicksville, New York and attempted to buy two (2) Hewlett-Packard Printers by check. While Store personnel were verifying the check with the bank, Williams fled the store before he could be detained.

New York investigators believe Williams fled the state and is currently in the Philadelphia area. The Nassau County Authorities and Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers are requesting the media to make the public aware that their help is needed to solve this crime.
