Robert Radhames Hererra and Israel Mendoza.
The Reading Police Department in Berks County, PA., have issued arrest warrants for Robert
Hererra and Israel Mendoza on charges of Criminal Homicide. On August 2, 1998 at
approximately 12:15 a.m., the two accused, along with a third subject who has since been
taken into custody, were involved in a drive by shooting. Investigators state the incident
was a gang related retaliation between the Latin Kings and the Bloods. When the
trio's intended victim, a subject known only as "Strange", was located on the
corner of North Front and Elm Streets in the City of Reading, they opened fire. An
innocent victim was caught in the cross fire and died from a gun shot wound sustained to
the back.
