Fugitive / Case Number # 640 Unknown Rape and Aggravated
Assault Suspect
Case Facts: Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward up to $ 1,000.00 for information that leads to the arrest of a
yet unknown Rape suspect.
The Pennsylvania State Police, Mercer, continue their investigation into a March 14, 1998,
Rape and Aggravated Assault that occurred along Lee Road in Springfield Township, Mercer
County. The victim left here residence, as she normally does, at 7:30 a.m., to begin here
walk to work. As the victim was walking east on Butler Street, the suspect drove past her,
stopped and then backed up offering her a ride. Due to the inclement weather, the victim
accepted the ride; something she would have not normally have done. The victim attempted
to flee the vehicle as the suspect parked at the crime scene. The suspect grabbed her by
the shoulders, forced her back into the car and choked her until she lost consciousness.
When the victim regained consciousness, the suspect was standing outside of the vehicle;
he reentered and raped her. After the assault the suspect permitted the victim to exit the
vehicle and walk away from the scene without any attempt to stop her.
Description:
White Male - 35 Years of Age
6 ft tall - approx. 200 lbs
Brown Eyes
Dark shoulder length hair with a beard and mustache
Deep voice, large soft hands (unlike those of a laborer), straight teeth
At the time of the crime was wearing a brown leather jacket, blue jeans and a gray tee shirt.
The suspect vehicle had a PA registration and was possibly a Pontiac, two door, dark blue in color. The Gray interior had bucket seats and digital radio station set at 104.
