Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers is Offering Up To a  $1,000.00 for information that leads to the arrest(s) of the person(s) responsible an Arson and Criminal Mischief at the Calvary Baptist Church in Butler County, PA.

The Pennsylvania  State Police, Butler along with investigators from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Alcohol- Tobacco and firearms continue their investigation into the fire at the Calvary Baptist Church in Butler County. On March 12, 1998, at approximately 4:20 a.m., authorities responded to a fire call at 205 Great Belt Road in Jefferson Township. Preliminary investigation revealed the fire was suspicious in nature and upon further investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal, the cause of the fire was determined to be arson. Although the cause of this $ 1,150,000.00 fire was ruled arson, investigators state the actual cause of this fire differs from the other (5) five church arsons currently under investigation in Southwestern Pennsylvania.
