Case Facts:  Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward up to $ 1,000.00 for information leading to the arrest of Jose Silva.

The Pennsylvania State Police, Avondale, are seeking Jose Silva for Criminal Homicide. On November 2, 1997, at approximately 6:17 p.m., Silva is alleged to have stabbed Jorge Coretez to death in the parking lot of 41-Inn, a bar located in Avondale Boro, New Garden Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. Silva coaxed an intoxicated Cortez into coming out of the bar into the parking lot with him. Once outside, an already angry Silva pulled out a butterfly type knife and stabbed Cortez 20-times. Silva fled the scene and remains a fugitive.

 Description:

White / Hispanic Male -- 21 years of age

5' 8"

210 lbs.

Brown Eyes, and at the time of the crime -- Short Black hair and a mustache

His face is deeply scarred from acne and has an 8-9 inch scar on his back as well as a scar on his left forearm.

A tattoo of the number "29" appears on his upper right arm, and "Chalos" on his left forearm.

AKA Jose Zavala and Jose Guzman

Last known address was in the 500 block of East South Street, Kennett Square, Chester County.

A career criminal, Silva should be considered armed and dangerous.
