Case Facts:

The Reading Police Department, Berks County, PA., and the Federal Bureau of Investigation continue their search of Jauan Manuel Gonzalez for his alleged involvement in the August 23, 1996 Homicide of Noe Gomez. Gomez had been strangled with a robe and stabbed in the side of the neck. He also sustained stab wounds to the chest area which appeared to have been made from a screw driver which was found at the scene. Two suspects were identified in connection with this crime and arrest warrants were issued. Defendant Miguel Arciniega-Martinez was arrested, plead guilty and is currently serving time. Gonzalez continues to elude authorities. He is believed to have been the suspect who stabbed the victim in the chest area. Gonzalez is wanted for Criminal Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Criminal Conspiracy and Possession of Instruments of Crime. He is also known as "Chipmonk"

Hispanic Male - 15 years of age

5 feet - 6 inches tall

150 lbs.

Black Hair -- Brown Eyes

Medium Build

Last known address was on on Buttonwood Street, Reading, Berks County, PA

Gonzalez is known to travel and live with the Mexican population working on Mushroom farms. He is also known to travel back and forth to Mexico.
