PENNSYLVANIA CRIME STOPPERS IS OFFERING A CASH REWARD FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO AN ARREST IN THIS CASE OF ATTEMPTED ROBBERY.

The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop G, Philipsburg continue their investigation of an Attempted Robbery that occurred in Philipsburg Borough, Centre County, Pennsylvania.

On Saturday, January 3, 2009, at approximately 9:25 p.m., the victim was in a parked car, in the 100 block of South 2nd Street, Philipsburg, waiting for a friend. Three to four men approached the vehicle and attempted to get in. One of the men got in the passenger door and began assaulting the victim; punching the victim repeatedly in the head and face.

The victim tried to drive away, but the suspect continued the assault. The victim struck a parked vehicle and a utility pole in an attempt to get away. After traveling a few blocks, the suspect got out of the vehicle and fled on foot.

The suspects are described as white males, all wearing dark hooded sweatshirts with blue bandanas partially covering their faces.
