PENNSYLVANIA CRIME STOPPERS IS OFFERING A CASH REWARD FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO AN ARREST(s) IN THESE CASES OF ARSON.
The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop J, Embreeville, Fire Marshal Unit continue their investigation of multiple Arsons that have occurred in Chester County.
Between January 1, 2009 and January 12, 2009, there have been nine Arson fires that have occurred in Valley Township and Coatesville City, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
On Thursday, January 1, 2009, a fire occurred at 9:30 pm at a residence located on Charles Street, Valley Township. A storage shed and its contents were completely destroyed. A loss of $3,000 has been estimated. At 10:48 pm, a trash can on the rear porch of a residence located on Madison Street, Coatesville City was set on fire. The loss was estimated at $500.
On Friday, January 2, 2009, a fire occurred at 1:38 am, at a residence on North 5th Avenue, Coatesville City. The fire originated on the front porch and caused significant damage. The loss estimated at $100,000. At 4:00 am, the front porch of a residence on West Diamond Street was set on fire, causing $5,000 in damages. At 5:30 am, a fire was reported at South 1st Avenue, Coatesville. The trash on the rear porch had been set on fire. The estimated loss was $1,000.
On Saturday, January 3, 2009, at 11:30 pm, a fire was discovered at a residence on Oak Street, Coatesville. A small trash fire occurred at the rear of the residence. There was no damage to the structure.
On Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at 12:46 pm, a fire occurred at a residence on Oak Street, Coatesville. The fire originated on the front porch; causing approximately $275,000 in damage.
On Monday, January 12, 2009, at 2:12 am, a residence on North Church Street, Coatesville, was reported. The fire originated on the rear porch and caused an estimated $110,000 in damages. Minutes later, at 2:21 am, a fire occurred on Madison Street, Coatesville. Furniture on the porch had been ignited. The estimated loss was $1,000.
Investigators believe all nine fires are related.
