CRIME: AGGRAVATED ASSAULT AND KIDNAPPING

UNKNOWN MALE SUSPECT
PENNSYLVANIA CRIME STOPPERS IS OFFERING A CASH REWARD FOR INFORMATION LEADING
TO AN ARREST IN A CASE OF AGGRAVATED ASSAULT AND ATTEMPTED KIDNAPPING.
The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop C, DuBois continue their search for the
suspect involved in an Aggravated Assault and Attempted Kidnapping case.
On
Monday, September 29, 2008, at approximately 12:30 a.m., the victim had been
walking along Willow Drive, Reynoldsville Borough, Jefferson County. A vehicle
passed the victim, stopping just beyond her. A male exited the vehicle; grabbed
the victim around the neck and attempted to get her into the vehicle. During
the struggle the suspect stabbed the victim in the abdomen. The victim fled
the scene to a nearby residence where the police were then contacted. The victim
was transported to DuBois Regional Medical Center ER for treatment of her injuries.
The suspect's vehicle was described as a white or tan passenger car.
Approximately
two hours later, a man driving a vehicle fitting the description of the vehicle
driven by the suspect was stopped by police. The driver was found to be intoxicated
and on county probation. The man was questioned in this case and then transported
to Jefferson County Jail on the probation violation. It is still unknown if
this man is linked to the Aggravated Assault and Attempted Kidnapping case.
