PENNSYLVANIA CRIME STOPPERS IS OFFERING A CASH REWARD OF UP TO $2,000 FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO THE ARREST OF SHAWNA JEAN SHIRLEY.
The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop A, Kiski Valley continue to search for Shawna Jean Shirley.
 
Ms. Shirley is wanted on charges of Forgery, Theft, and Receiving Stolen Property.
 
In September 2004, Ms. Shirley; her four children; and her boyfriend moved in with the victim.
 
Ms. Shirley told the victim that she was going to get apx. $380,000 through a trust fund and that she wanted to put the $380,000 in the victim's checking account.  Ms. Shirley further explained that because in the past, she had bounced numerous checks, the bank would only allow her to open an account for Direct Deposits with a MAC card to access the funds.
 
The victim agreed, and Ms. Shirley advised that the $380,000 was to be deposited in the victim's account on October 1, 2004.  Ms. Shirley then requested the victim to write a check in the amount of $60,000 for the purchase of a home.  The victim agreed and gave Ms. Shirley a check for $60,000.
 
The victim's bank contacted her regarding the $60,000 check.  It was then the victim learned that no money from Ms. Shirley had been deposited in the victim's account and that there were also forged checks made out to Ms. Shirley in the amounts of $2,500, $200, and $2,000.
 
Ms. Shirley's last known address was 428 Coke Oven Road, Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
