The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop C, DuBois, continue their search for Joey Lynn Offutt.
On Thursday, July 12, 2007, the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal investigated a fire that occurred at 90 Dr. Fugate Drive, Sykesville, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania. The fire destroyed a large portion of the residence. In the course of the fire investigation the remains of an infant child were located inside the residence.
Ms. Offutt, a resident of the home, has not been seen since prior to the fire. Investigators feel there are suspicious circumstances surrounding her disappearance and have a concern for her welfare.
Ms. Offutt's vehicle, a red 1994 Saturn Coupe with Virginia Registration JXN8871, was located near the Nittany Gardens Apartments in State College, Pennsylvania.
Ms. Offutt has a speech impairment (lisp) and is known to frequent the State College and Winchester areas of Pennsylvania.
