Crime: Arson TURN IN A TORCH

PENNSYLVANIA CRIME STOPPERS IS ASKING YOU TO "TURN IN A TORCH" AND IS OFFERING A CASH REWARD OF UP TO $2,000 FOR INFORMATION THAT LEADS TO THE ARREST OF A YET UNKNOWN ARSON SUSPECT(S).

The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop A, Greensburg, are investigating an Arson fire that occurred in Vandergrift Borough, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. On Saturday, June 16, 2007, at apx. 3:11 a.m., the Vandergrift Volunteer Fire Department and multiple surrounding departments responded to a fire at 143 Hamilton Avenue, Vandergrift Borough, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. The fire started on the front porch of 143 Hamilton and quickly spread to the adjacent homes on both sides; destroying the homes located at 143 and 141 Hamilton Avenue and severely damaging the home at 145 Hamilton Avenue. Four people escaped uninjured from 141 Hamilton Avenue and a 103 year old woman was physically rescued from 145 Hamilton Avenue. The estimated damage for all three homes is over $600,000.
