The Pennsylvania State Police, Kiski Valley Station, are continuing their investigation of an Armed Robbery at a pharmacy in New Alexandria Borough, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
The robbery occurred on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at apx. 4:00 p.m., closing time of the business. The suspect was reportedly seen milling around the front of the business for some time before entering. When the suspect entered the pharmacy, he ran to the rear of the business waving a handgun in the air ordering the employees to the floor. The suspect then handcuffed one employee and then ordered the other employee to give him all the oxycontin and methadone. The suspect then asked for Dialaudid and Clomipramine; however, the pharmacy did not have those drugs in stock. The suspect handcuffed the second employee and grabbed a bank deposit bag containing apx. $700.00 and an undetermined amount of oxycontin and methadone and then fled.
The suspect was wearing either jeans or dark blue/green work pants, tan coat, brown hiking boots, tassel cap and a headliner type mask covering his face. The handgun he carried was silver in color with a 6" barrel.
