The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop A, Ebensburg, are investigating numerous vehicle thefts in the area of Cambria County, Pennsylvania. Between December 16, 2006 and February 15, 2007, there were aproximately . 12 incidents of vehicle thefts in the Northwestern Cambria County areas of Bakerton, Elmora, and Patton Boro. The vehicles have been described as older and low-valued; and appear to have been taken for joyrides. All of the vehicles had keys in the ignition. Two of the vehicles were destroyed by fire at a strip mine site.
