PENNSYLVANIA CRIME STOPPERS IS OFFERING A CASH REWARD OF UP TO $2,000.00 THAT LEADS TO THE ARREST OF THIS YET UNKNOWN ARSONIST.
The New Kensington Police Department is continuing their investigation of an Arson that occurred in New Kensington, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.

On Thursday, December 7, 2006 at apx 10:55 p.m. the New Kensington Fire Department and the New Kensington Police Department responded to a report of a fire in a vacant three story building; formerly a Vo-Tech school.  The fire occurred during a snowstorm with very frigid conditions making the fire fighting difficult and extremely dangerous.  The fire destroyed several buildings in the downtown area.  The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal ruled it an arson.

A witness saw someone running in the area at about the time the fire would have been ignited.  The description of that person is as follows:  white/male, late forties, apx 5'10" tall, 150 - 170 lbs., with brown hair that may have gray in it, and a mustache that was grown below the corners of the mouth.

This person was wearing a black jacket with a red jacket underneath and had on dark pants possibly blue jeans.  According to the witness, the clothes appeared to be worn and dirty.

This person is considered a "person of interest" and not a suspect at this time.
