 PENNSYLVANIA CRIME STOPPERS IS OFFERING A CASH REWARD OF UP TO $2,000.00 LEADING TO AN ARREST IN THESE THEFT INVESTIGATIONS.
The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop C, Punxsutawney, continue their investigation of multiple thefts that occurred in southern Jefferson and northern Indiana Counties, Pennsylvania.
 
Since May 2006 through January 2007, a combined total of eleven gasoline and natural gas engines have been removed from gas well sites within apx. 15 miles of Punxsutawney.  These engines are attached to a gas well and are used to power a pump that removes unwanted liquid materials from the well site which in turn allows the natural gas to flow into the pipeline system.   To date, the total value of these eleven engines is valued at over $21,000.00
 
Specifically, between November 17, 2006 and November 22, 2006 three Kohler Natural Gas Motors from 3 different sites within Indiana County were removed. The motors are 18 hp twin cylinder motors with a total value of loss at apx. $5,800.00.
