 PENNSYLVANIA CRIME STOPPERS IS OFFERING A CASH REWARD OF UP TO $2,000.00 THAT LEADS TO AN ARREST OF SUSPECT(S) INVOLVED IN THIS CRIME.
The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop G, Hollidaysburg, continue their investigation of two Burglaries that occurred in Blair County.
 
Sometime during the night of Saturday, September 23 or Sunday morning, September 24, 2006, the Grace Pointe Church (formerly the Williamsburg Church of God) on SR 866, Catharine Township, Blair County, was burglarized.  Investigators believe more than one person forcibly entered the church through a ground floor window.  Once inside, the suspects smashed open the doors of several rooms in the church. Musical equipment including; guitars, speakers, mixers, etc. valued at apx. $6,000.00 was stolen. One of the items stolen was a Univox "Les Paul" guitar with a sunburst orange and yellow body.  The damage to the church itself was tentatively estimated at $750.00.
 
On Friday, November 24, 2006 at 3:15 a.m., a similar type of Burglary occurred at the Faith Assembly of God Church on SR 164, Taylor Township, Blair County. The suspect(s) gained access to the church by cutting an HVAC duct and crawling inside.  Once inside, the suspect(s) rummaged through desks.  A burglar alarm was triggered; causing the suspect(s) to flee. It was determined that an unknown amount of cash was missing.
