The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop G, Hollidaysburg continue their search for an unknown rape suspect.
On Wednesday/Thursday, July 26 - 27, 2006, a female victim was at the Cantina Bar located on 7th Avenue, Altoona City, Blair County, Pennsylvania. The victim was removed from the bar at apx. 8:45 p.m. for causing a disturbance and was last seen by employees and patrons near 7th Avenue and 3rd Street, Altoona, PA.
The victim remembers being hit with an object after she left the bar and then remembers waking up in a dark wooded area with an unknown man on top of her. She escaped from the suspect and hid in the woods until getting a ride from a passerby. The suspect was driving a large (unknown color) van.
The State Police were called to the Altoona Hospital for an assault as the victim was taken to the hospital by a family member.
