The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop R, Dunmore, are investigating an Arson fire that occurred in Dunmore Borough, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.

On Sunday, August 27, 2006, at apx. 6:00 a.m., a fire was discovered at the Dunmore Lumber Company, on South Blakely Street, Dunmore, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.  During the investigation it was discovered that there had been a burglary prior to the fire, and the fire appears to have been used to conceal the crime.  At this same location, three weeks prior to this fire, a Burglary occurred at around the same time of day.  In both incidents, a ladder from the store was used to climb over a barb wire fence.  In the first Burglary, several knives uniquely decorated with outdoor scenes were stolen.
