Crime:   Attempted Rape and Robbery

 PENNSYLVANIA CRIME STOPPERS IS OFFERING A CASH REWARD OF UP TO $2,000.00 THAT LEADS TO INFORMATION LEADING TO AN ARREST IN THIS INVESTIGATION.
The West Chester Borough Police Department is investigating an attempted rape and burglary.
 
In the early morning hours of Sunday, September 3rd, 2006 at apx. 1:40 a.m., a female was approached by two unknown male suspects while walking in the 200 block of Mohawk Alley, West Chester Borough, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
 
One of the suspects pulled the female to the ground and attempted to rape her.  The victim received various cuts and abrasions.  Her clothing was also torn during the incident.  The victim was able to fight off the suspect and eventually both suspects fled the area.
 
The victim was able to obtain help from a passing motorist.  A cell phone and purse were taken from the victim during the incident.
 
Both of the suspects are black males, one with a thin build, and approximately 6'0" tall.  No further description of the second suspect is available at this time
