 PENNSYLVANIA CRIME STOPPERS IS OFFERING A CASH REWARD OF UP TO $2,000.00 LEADING TO AN ARREST IN THIS INCIDENT.
The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop P - Towanda, Troop R - Honesdale, and the Montoursville Police Department are investigating Pharmacy Burglaries in the northeast to the north central part of the state.
 
In the late hours of Saturday, July 22nd, or the early morning hours of Sunday, July 23rd, 2006, the Eckerd Pharmacy, Bradford Town Centre, Wysox Township, Bradford County was broken into.  The suspect(s) gained entry to the Pharmacy through the rooftop by removing a commercial grade air conditioner and climbing through the ventilation duct.  The phone lines were cut by the suspect(s) to prevent the alarm from activating.  Approximately 10,000 pills were stolen, including: Percocet, Ritalin, Vicodin, OxyContin, and Viagra.
 
On Sunday, July 23rd, 2006 at apx. 1:00 a.m., a CVS Pharmacy in Tunkhannock, Wyoming County, Pennsylvania was burglarized.  The suspect(s) gained entry to the building by climbing onto the roof and moving a large air conditioning unit to expose the duct work.  A fiber optic cable was cut by the suspect(s), assuming it was a phone/alarm line.  Once inside the building, the suspect(s) were unable to gain access to the pharmacy and fled through a rear door of the building. 
 
On Tuesday, August 15th, 2006 at apx. 1:40 a.m., the Rite Aid Pharmacy located in the Hamlin Corners Mall, Salem Township, Wayne County, Pennsylvania was burglarized.  The suspects gained entry to this building by removing a plate to the duct work of the air conditioning unit.  Evidence leads investigators to believe two persons were involved in this burglary.  Five bottles of Oxycodone containing 5mg, 10mg, and 20mg valued at over $900.00 were stolen.  A telephone line running through the ceiling was cut.
 
On Friday, August 18th, 2006 at apx. 2:20 a.m. a burglary occurred at the Eckerd Pharmacy in Montoursville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.  In this burglary, the suspect(s) climbed onto the roof, gaining access to the building by removing an air conditioning unit and cutting a hole in the roof.  As in the other burglaries, the phone lines were cut.  Nearly $12,000 worth of drugs were stolen, including: Oxycodone, OxyContin, Codeine, Methadone, Percocet, and Adderall.
