in Enola, Cumberland County. Investigators reported that during the overnight hours of November 30-December 1, 2003, person or persons unknown set fire to seven (7) school buses. The fires extensively damaged six (6) buses, which are now considered a total loss. The monetary loss of the buses has been estimated at $300,000. The buses had been parked within a secluded parking lot adjacent to the East Pennsboro Elementary School located off of Panther Parkway in Enola, Cumberland County. Initially a call was received reporting smoke, shortly there after another call was received concerning an explosion or shots being fired; it was later determined that the report of the explosion or shots being fired was the result of the bus tires popping from the heat of the fire.
