| PENNSYLVANIA CRIME STOPPERS IS OFFERING A CASH REWARD OF UP TO $2,000.00 THAT LEADS TO THE ARREST OF A YET UNKNOWN ARSON SUSPECT(S). | |
The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop J, Fire Marshal continue the investigation of several fires occurring between January 20 and February 11, 2006.
On Monday, February 6, 2006, at approximately 12:30 A.M. a fire was reported to the Kimberton Fire Company, at Wells Road and Canvas Hill Lane, Charlestown Township, Chester County where large bales of hay were on fire. There were apx. 720 bales of hay that were destroyed, with an estimated value of $44,000.00.
On Saturday, February 11, 2006, at approximately 1:00 A.M. another reported hay bale fire was called into the Kimberton Fire Company, at 202 Pickering Road, Charlestown Township, Chester County. The estimated loss of this fire was over $3,000.00
The distance between these two fires is apx. one mile. Also, in both of these incidents, the hale bales were stacked in a field along the roadway.
On Friday, January 20, 2006 a similar fire occurred in Skippack Township, Montgomery County. In this incident, apx. nine large bales of hay were destroyed with an estimated loss $550.00
The victim is the same owner/farmer of all the hay that was destroyed in each incident. Investigators believe that all three of these incidents are related.
The fires were determined to be Arson.
